How does Zenox® work?

Zenox technology is a synergy of two superior components in lubrication:

  1. Zenox®micro-ceramic’ particles. (smaller than 0,24µ or 0,00024mm)
  2. Polarized synthetic molecules (specific Zenox® ester)

This combination forms an incredibly strong layer which reduces friction and protects your engine.

Colloidal micro-ceramic particles?

Zenox® micro-ceramic has an hexagonal structure, soft an very anistropic (different binding forces in different directions). Is a solid lubricant similar to MoS2, graphite or PTFE, but much more efficient.

It withstands higher temperatures (2700°C) and high pressures. It has a more advantageous coefficient of friction. However this technology is new in automotive lubrication, it is well-known in industrial applications where lubricants have to operate in very severe conditions (high temperature and pressure).

The Zenox® micro-ceramic particles are very fine (-0,24µ) and they are perfectly dispersed and stable in a very specific synthetic oil, so they can’t clog filters or pipes.

These particles are transported by the engine oil and avoid metal/metal contacts by interfering between moving surfaces.

Thanks to the extremely low friction coefficient of Zenox® particles, friction and wear will drastically be reduced.

Synthetic polarised components

The Zenox® micro-particles are dispersed in a very special synthetic oil. This oil is a specific type of ester, of which the molecules are polarised. These oil molecules are attracted – like a magnet – to metal components.

This Zenox® ester has unique natural lubrication properties compared to other synthetic or mineral oils.

In combination with the micro-ceramic component, a very resistant lubricating film is formed which drastically reduces friction and wear.

A protecting film subsists even when the engine is not running, which enables a perfect protection during cold starts.

One dose of Zenox® in 5 L synthetic oil (PAO) reduces the friction coefficient from 0,32 to 0,11 (-65%).
